We have been appointed by courts to be the guardian ad litem, which represent juveniles….this gives us a lot of credibility with courts…We advise courts about what they should do for a particular juvenile.  Courts trust us. Not many other attorneys have been appointed by the courts to do this…takes great credentials and trust.
We have a great winning record.  99.5% success rate.  We define success as a client telling us they are happy with the result.  A client may be guilty as sin and we keep them out of jail and keep it off their record but they might have to take a class or something…if the client tells me this is a great deal for them, we count that as a success.  We have very, very few clients tell us they are not happy with the result.  It is usually when they got some jail time and hoped they wouldn’t. That is not always reasonable to assume, however, especially if someone was seriously injured or killed. Not many attorneys have anywhere close to this success rate. Many may claim to have so many trials under their belt…but I know many attorneys that take cases to trial that should not go to trial but they try them anyways just for the experience….I don’t try cases for experience.  I do what is always in my client’s best interest.  We have never had a bar complaint or an ineffective assistance of counsel claim, ever!  That’s thousands of cases!  Look at our AVVO client and peer rating:  10 out of 10 ranking!  And Sean has also won top client’s choice award for 2014 for DUI Lawyer in Salt Lake and Utah areas.

We have knowledge of the law and have published legal articles and have been cited by other legal scholars. (see p. 2613, fn 104) Not many attorneys have published legal articles let alone be cited by them.
Sean Druyon was on the law review in law school, usually reserved for the top ten percent of law students.  On top of that, Sean was then selected by his peers to be an executive editor, which was in charge of editing and proof reading scholarly articles from professors, judges, and lawyers across the country trying to publish their articles.  There were only three of these positions in his class.  This earned him scholarships in law school and demonstrates his knowledge of the law and his commitment to excellence in legal research and writing. A very, very small percentage of criminal defense lawyers have the credentials that Sean has.  In order to maximize the chances of a dismissal, you need an attorney that knows how to craft the best possible legal arguments and can support those arguments with excellent research from case law and statutory law, and then be able to present that research in a coherent, simple manner to either suppress evidence or get the entire case thrown out.  Don’t settle with any attorney for your case….Hire us since we have proven to be effective researchers and writers!
Sean started his own law practice in 2002.  This shows initiative and self motivation.  Sean has the drive it takes to be aggressive on your case and will not bend over for the prosecutor.  Sean has also been known to respectfully disagree with judges when he thinks they are wrong, appealing matters to the Supreme Court, if needed. Not many attorneys have the initiative to start their own practice then manage the entire firm, and hire staff to work as a team to get the best result for the client.  Sean has the drive and organizational skills to get you the best result possible!
We have argued and won at the Supreme Court. This shows our passion for fighting for justice, even if extra work is required. Most defense attorneys have never even filed an appeal to the Supreme Court, much less won.  We have done both and succeeded and are prepared to do just that for your case, if needed.
We have demonstrate excellence in our personal lives:  Sean, for example, competes in triathlons and marathons and other races to stay in top physical shape and often finishes in the top 10%.  Staying in top physical shape helps give our clients the best energy possible. Sean’s last race was a marathon and despite a double sports hernia he was able to still finish in 3:58.  This shows that he can fight through the pain and still finish strong!  He can do the same for your case even when the going gets rough!!!! Sean also volunteers his time as a pro bono (for free) Attorney helping battered spouses/partners get protective orders.  This gives him a lot of credibility with the courts and the opposing attorneys.  If the courts trust Sean as a person and attorney, then it will more likely accept deals he reaches with the prosecutor on your case. see above.
We typically give over 250 hours of pro bono (free) work per year to help underprivileged and/or economically disadvantaged individuals a shot.  Unfortunately we cannot give this to all of our clients but we have to pay the bills, so give us a break!  😉 see above.
Sean was on his college debate team. He loves crafting well reasoned, persuasive arguments!  We have met very few other criminal defense attorneys that have had this experience.
