Your Rights to DUI

If you’re pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence, the officer has the right to stop you and to ask you questions about your potential intoxication. They have the right to administer a PBT or Portable Breath Test in order to determine if you’ve been drinking, and how much you’ve been drinking. All of the information they gather at the scene of the incident will heavily impact the outcome of your potential charges and or arrest. So, what are your rights in this situation? You have the right to fair and honest testing, done in accordance with specific legal guidelines to ensure accurate results. Often these tests are done improperly by the officers and there are a few common ways that it happens. It pays to have an attorney working for you that knows what to look for in cases like this. If there has been any misconduct in the administration of PBT’s during the arrest, then you have a great case. A knowledgeable attorney needs to have a comprehensive understanding of the PBT testing protocol, and where officers typically deviate from it. Utah Freedom Fighters Attorney Sean Druyon recently received advanced level training, from the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys on how officers improperly use PBTs during DUI investigations. At Utah Freedom Fighters we have the skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies that are needed to successfully resolve and win DUI cases
